Education and Research

My educational journey reflects the evolution of both my career and my understanding of what it takes to solve increasingly complex problems. Beginning with physics and computer science, I learned to approach challenges through scientific reasoning, systems thinking, and software engineering. Graduate engineering research on the Semantic Web and Resource Description Framework introduced me to knowledge representation, semantics, ontologies, and the formal relationships that make information meaningful across systems. As my career evolved from solving technical problems to leading the teams responsible for delivering real-world solutions, doctoral study in performance psychology deepened my understanding of leadership, decision-making, motivation, learning, and human performance. Together, these disciplines shape my belief that exceptional outcomes require the integration of rigorous engineering, well-architected knowledge, and high-performing teams.
